Merrimack, NH– More than 400 people gathered to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fimbel Garage Doors at the company’s newly remodeled showroom in Merrimack earlier this month.
Surrounded by friends, vendors, partners and community members, the family-owned business marked the occasion with a milestone ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Greater Merrimack-Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce and its President and CEO, Liz Calabria. Rock 101 broadcasted live from the event featuring Laura Boyce of Greg & The Morning Buzz.
The Fimbel Garage Doors Prize Wheel spun throughout the event, providing participants with free merchandise and other prizes, along with donations of $5 to charity on behalf of the spinner. Total charitable donations from prize wheel spins leading up to and including the event was more than $1,000.00. The winner of the Grand Prize–a $10,000 garage door makeover–was selected among event attendees.
Adaptive Driving Experience, a New Hampshire-based organization that empowers veterans, was on-site with a fully adaptive race car to offer individuals of all abilities the opportunity to experience the thrill of being in the driver’s seat of a race car. The Wellness Seed and The Rustic Seed of Amherst also provided a non-operable child-size race car for kids to enjoy for play and photos.
The party atmosphere was enhanced with the talents of DJ Jason Whitney and free food and activities, including a bouncy house and custom coloring books for kids, cornhole games provided by Gino’s Custom Cornhole Boards, on-site haircuts by Ritual Grooming Barbers, freshly grilled lunch items, treats from Bite Me Kupcakez, and goody bags for every attendee.
The event also included a silent auction featuring Boston Bruin and Boston Red Sox tickets and goods and services from local businesses and garage door manufacturers, with all proceeds benefiting nonprofit organizations. The silent auction raised more than $3,600.00 for local charities.
“We are truly humbled by the tremendous support of our community,” said Jon Fimbel, General Manager of Fimbel Garage Doors. “Marking 100 years of our family’s legacy of top quality products, dedicated customer service and commitment to innovation is made all the more special by the customers, partners and friends (new and old) who celebrated with us. Thank you for providing us with amazing memories as we embark on our second century in business.”
As the Fimbel Garage Doors 100th anniversary year continues, every Merrimack and Brentwood showroom guest will have the opportunity to spin the prize wheel for branded apparel, vendor prizes and charitable donations. Each remaining month of 2024 will also feature exclusive deals for one of Fimbel’s partner manufacturers.
