Nashua, NH – The Veterans Count Nashua Chapter will virtually host its annual Salute Our Soldiers Gala on Thursday, November 12 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. It will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II and honor the sacrifices made both on the battlegrounds and on the home front.
The 2020 Salute Our Soldiers Gala was made possible through the generous support of “Greatest Generation” $10,000 sponsors: Port Electronics Corporation is the Rosie the Riveter Sponsor and Clark & Lavey Benefits Solution, Inc. is the USO Drive Sponsor. Both of these sponsors along with our “Ticker Tape” $5,000 sponsors were instrumental to continue this time-honored annual event. This year’s event is free to watch, register at https://vetscount.org/nh/events/nashua-sos-gala/.
Sy Mahfuz, owner of PRG Rugs in Nashua, will serve as emcee. Entertainment will be provided by singer and impressionist Tony Pace, along with a keynote address by Colonel Tucker “Cinco” Hamilton, Director of the Air Force/Massachusetts Institute of Technology Artificial Intelligence Accelerator in Cambridge, MA. Just Flow Events & Marketing is providing event management and planning services for the seventh consecutive year.
The Gala will also feature the annual presentation of the Founders Award, along with a digital program book honoring local WWII veterans residing at the NH Veterans Home. Viewers will learn more about Veterans Count, the philanthropic arm of Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Services (MVS), and how MVS delivers direct supports and services to our military community for challenges including suicide risk, unemployment, homelessness, substance use disorders, legal concerns, and mental health issues. In addition, MVS in partnership with Veterans Count, has provided emergency financial assistance for food, utilities, housing, transportation, fuel, and vehicle repair. Opportunities to support the program will be available through an online auction and online donation option.
“Each year, our Nashua Chapter Members truly come together to coordinate and support this important event,” said Kathy Flynn, Easterseals NH Director of Development for Veterans Count. “This year’s event is especially humbling as it both honors the sacrifices and achievements of the Greatest Generation and provides critical assistance to service members and veterans in our local communities. I encourage everyone to tune in for this celebratory evening. Not only will we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the World War II victory, but we will also explore the significant impact that Veterans Count is making in New Hampshire.”
