At Just Flow Events & Marketing, we believe in supporting what matters – and what lasts. That is why we are proud to continue our partnership with Castle in the Clouds for the 2025 season.
As a Castle in the Clouds sponsor, this year is especially meaningful: In December 2024, Castle in the Clouds – part of the Lucknow Estate in Moultonborough – became officially designated as a National Historic Landmark (NHL) by the U.S. Department of the Interior. This is the highest federal recognition for historical, architectural, or archaeological significance – placing Castle in the Clouds among just over 2,600 landmarks nationwide.
Lucknow is only the fourth National Historic Landmark District in New Hampshire and the largest geographically, covering more than 5,300 acres of the original 6,300-acre estate. Built between 1913 and 1914 as a retirement retreat for shoe magnate Thomas Gustave Plant, the estate embodies the ideals of the American Arts and Crafts Movement, with its remarkably intact mansion, gate houses, roads, and trails connecting seven mountain peaks.
The designation also reflects over a century of conservation and preservation efforts, now overseen by the Castle Preservation Society, the Lakes Region Conservation Trust, and Crystal Geyser Alpine Spring Water. Their shared stewardship ensures that this historical treasure remains accessible for future generations.
This announcement came as part of a national recognition of 19 new NHLs, celebrating the diversity of America’s heritage. It is a milestone not just for Castle in the Clouds, but for the entire Lakes Region and the broader preservation community, including consultant Liz Hengen, whose expertise helped guide the nomination process to success.
Today, Castle in the Clouds continues to welcome thousands of visitors every year who come to experience its timeless beauty from touring the mansion and enjoying the panoramic views of Lake Winnipesaukee, to hiking the miles of scenic trails, to attending vibrant seasonal events and educational programs.
Just Flow has proudly shown our support as a Castle in the Clouds sponsor for multiple seasons, and our 2025 sponsorship builds on years of collaboration and shared appreciation for local heritage. We are proud to contribute more than sponsorship — we help amplify the mission of Castle in the Clouds through branding, public relations, social media, and community engagement.
Our team is thrilled to help shine the national spotlight on this exceptional landmark and encourage everyone to experience its magic.
